City of Polson, Montana NOTICE OF RESOLUTION LEVYING THE ASSESSMENT TO DEFRAY ANNUAL COSTS OF MAINTENANCE AND ELECTRICAL POWER TO POLSON LIGHTING DISTRICTS NOS 19 AND 20 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City Commission of the City of Polson, Montana, will hold a public hearing on September 21st, 2020 at 6:30 PM in the City Hall Council Chambers or by Zoom meeting if necessary to receive public comment on the proposed Resolution to levy the assessments to defray annual costs of maintenance and electrical power within the City of Polson's two Lighting Districts Nos. 19 and 20 for the fiscal year 2020 - 2021. Any taxpayer or resident may appear at the public hearing and be heard for or against the proposed Resolution. The total estimated costs and percentage of costs to be assessed to property owners within the boundaries of the districts is $31,000.00. The Resolution and a description of the boundaries of the Lighting District Nos. 19 and 20 is on file and open to inspection at City Hall, 106 1st St. E., Polson, Montana in the City Clerk's office. CITY OF POLSON POLICE VEHICLES NOTICE FOR BIDS Sealed bids will be accepted for furnishing F.o.b. City of Polson Police Department, Three (3) Ford Explorer Police Interceptor Patrol Vehicles and equipment in accordance with the complete specifications on file with the City of Polson, State of Montana or at www.cityofpolson.com under Resources (Bids & RFP's). Bids will be received at Polson City Hall, 106 1st Street until 3:00 o'clock P.M. on the 29th day of September, 2020 at which time and place all submitted bids will be opened and considered. Bids must be accompanied by a Bidders Bond or Cash in an amount at least 10% of the amount bid and made payable in favor of the City of Polson as liquidated damages in the event the bidder fails to enter into a Contract for the equipment and bid as accepted. The surety company must be listed in United States Treasury Department Circular #570 and licensed in the State of Montana. The outside of the sealed envelope must be properly marked "Bid on Police Vehicles." Bids to be on the basis of cash upon the final delivery and acceptance in accordance with the specifications for this equipment. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after bid closing date. NOTICE OF CITY OF POLSON COMMISSION WARD 2 VACANCY A vacancy has occurred on the Polson City Commission, Ward 2, and the current Commission will appoint an individual to fill the vacancy. The term for which the appointment will be made is from October 5, 2020 to December 31, 2021. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, a citizen of Montana and a qualified elector pursuant to Article IV, Section 2 of the Montana Constitution and who has resided within the city limits of the City of Polson for more than one year is eligible and reside in Ward 2.
