Lady Pirates dominate Dillon

The Polson tennis teams took on Dillon twice in two days on their home courts Friday and Saturday, with nearly identical results each day.
The girls swept Dillon 7-0 on Friday and 6-0 on Saturday, when matches were cut short by multiple weather delays.
Berkeley Ellis, Megan Rost, Sierra Lundeen and Kately Smiths were singles winners Friday for the Lady Pirates. Polson also got doubles wins from Ara Mercer and Clara Todd, Taylor Collinge, and Qia Harlan and Ruby Pierce and Brooklyn Williams.
On Saturday, the Lady Pirates swept all of their matches. Piper Hoxie’s match against Dillon’s Emma Mitchell was tied 5-5 when it was stopped due to the weather conditions.
Afternoon matches against Whitefish that were snowed out were rescheduled for Apr. 20.
Torrin Ellis had the boys’ only win Friday, defeating Marcus Sandall 6-1, 7-5.
Trent Wilson defeated Milo Glossa 6-0, 6-0 Saturday for the boys’ lone victory.
