Filmmakers seeking Montana production crew and actors
Montana residents David Mirisch and Kat and L. J. Martin are set to produce a high-action western, to be filmed in Montana, titled “Eye For Eye,” with Mirisch serving as executive producer and the Martins as co-producers. Filming is planned to begin in early June.
The story, based on a best-selling western novel, takes place circa 1879 and is written by L. J. Martin, who will direct the feature.
The Mirisch motion picture family has produced 72 films, won 24 Academy Awards, including three Oscars for “Best Film of the Year.” David was featured in the documentary “The Man with the Gold Rolodex,” which premiered at the 2021 Flathead Lake International Cinemafest in Polson.
Between them, the Martins have authored over 65 western novels, many set in Montana. Kat is an internationally published New York Times best-selling suspense and western romance author, with 15 million books in print. L. J. has topped Amazon’s classic western lists many times.
Starring in the film and creating the theme-song and score is well-known Missoula troubadour and thespian Shane Clouse. Co-starring and joining from Hollywood are consummate actors John Savage and Blanca Blanco. Savage has appeared in over 300 productions, and Blanco, in addition to being an established actor, is an internationally known model.
Wolfpack Productions will hire production crew, especially sound, light and camera, and actors from Montana. Anyone interested in participating can submit resumes and headshots to david@dmirisch.com.
