At O'Malley Park in Polson, the Mission Valley Mariners A team turned in a big sixth inning in their first contest to secure a 10-1 victory. But runs were harder to come by in their second contest. With two runners on board in the bottom of the first, Espn Fisher helped his cause on the mound with a two-run single to give his Mariners a 2-1 lead after the first frame. But thereafter, bats fell silent aside from two hits by Dylan Davis as the Mavericks tied the contest, then took over the lead to forge a split of their series.

The A Mariners rematch with the AA Lakers in Kalispell this Wednesday. This weekend, the teams hold a back-to-back doubleheader homestand this weekend against the B Loggers on Saturday and the Clark Fork Valley Riverdogs on Sunday. Mariner Day Camps will be held prior to each at the field.
