Randall (Randy) Craig Cosgrove, 61

Randall (Randy) Craig Cosgrove died June 28 in Wilsonville, Ore., one of the 116 deaths in Oregon caused by the recent heat wave.

Randy was born Feb. 9, 1960 in Gooding, Idaho. He was the third of six sons and one daughter born to Elmer and Zina (Combs) Cosgrove. Randy grew up and attended school in Polson. He enlisted in the Army in Spokane and served one year. Later, he took an electrical course in Phoenix and became a certified electrician.

In 1999 Randy married JoAnn Chariott. They had one daughter, Shannon (Shanzi). At the time of his death he was living and working in Wilsonville.

Randy was preceded in death by his father, Elmer, wife JoAnn and brother Bradley. He is survived by his loving mother, Zina, of McMinnville; daughter Shanzi; brothers Peter (Debbie), Clint, Shawn (Lisa) and Bryan (Shannon); sister Shannon (Tim); and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. A memorial and scattering of ashes will be held at a later time in Montana, near Polson.
