Auto racing resumes at Super Oval

After a three-week hiatus, the Mission Valley Super Oval’s summer stock car racing schedule resumes Saturday with a full slate that features the hornet class.

The lineup includes mod 4s, hobby stocks, late models and West Coast modifieds. The main event is the Hornet Challenge, which features a $1,000 top prize.

The track has three weekends of racing this season following Saturday’s event. The Hot August Nights Pro Late 125 is Aug. 21, followed by Open Wheel Weekend, Aug. 27-28. The schedule wraps up with Championship Night on Sept. 4.
