Commissioners taking comments on lakeshore protection changes
Lake County is in the process of amending its lakeshore protection regulations, and the Lake County Commission is accepting comments on the proposed amendments through Saturday, Aug. 28.
Commissioners passed a resolution of intention to adopt the amendments during a July 21 public hearing. They may vote on the amendments during an Aug. 30 hearing.
The new regulations include updates to standards for boat shelters, breakwater portions of a dock, dock width, buoy location, floating dock locations, administrative language, and the prohibition of fertilizers, pesticides and herbicides.
