Live Shakespeare at St. Ignatius, Charlo
Montana Shakespeare in the Parks’ statewide tour makes two stops in Lake County this weekend. The traveling production crew will present “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” at 6 p.m. Friday at Good Old Days Park, 228 Mountain View Drive in St. Ignatius. They will follow with a production of “Cymbeline” at 6 p.m. Saturday at Palmer Park in Charlo. Both performances will be presented free of charge.
Beer and Wine Festival at KOA
The Kiwanis Club of Polson is hosting a Beer and Wine Festival from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Polson KOA, 200 Irvine Flats Road. Admittance costs $25, and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
Linderman Art Docent program gearing up
This year’s Art Docent program at Linderman Elementary school kicks off with a fruit shortcake bar and a brief informational meeting from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sept. 8 in the Polson School District conference room at 111 Fourth Ave E (use side door entrance to conference room).

Bat hike set in Big Arm
Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks invites all for a free guided nighttime hike Friday, Sept. 3, to get a closer look at the bats that surround Flathead Lake. Bring hiking boots, water, backpack, headlamp or flashlight, and a snack to help enjoy your evening. Meet at Big Arm Day-Use Area at 8:30 p.m. for the half-mile hike. Registration is required and can be done by calling (406) 837-3041, ext. 0.
Aircraft to gather in Polson
The annual Polson Fly-In scheduled for Saturday at the Polson Airport-8s1 has been cancelled, according to information listed on the Polson Area Chamber of Commerce's calendar of events. The event is sponsored by the Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 1122.
