Community Notes: Kids’ Christmas event Saturday at Walmart
A Christmas celebration spearheaded by Nancy Hausermann of Polson will take place from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 18 at the Polson Walmart.
An interview of Hausermann regarding her public service recently aired on ABC’s “Good Morning America.”
The event is primarily for children ages 12 and younger. Anderson Broadcasting will play Christmas music, and Santa will be there, along with treats and stockings for the kids.
Attendees are strongly encouraged to wear masks, though it’s not a requirement.
Parents must be present with children. Organizers ask that you do not send your children over while you shop, and don’t take any of the event gifts into the store.
Bring an enclosed, small candle to participate in a candle lighting at 6 p.m. in honor of those we have lost this past two years and for peace in our world.
Free prime rib up for grabs
The Lake County Leader is partnering with Polson businesses this week to give away a Christmas prime rib, and Polson Chamber Bucks. Drawing entry forms are printed in this week’s Northwest Advertiser, and the contest is open Dec. 15-17. The entry window closes at 3 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17. Check out this week’s Advertiser for full contest details.

Tickets for all this holiday cheer are $4 per adult or $20 for a family of six. Children age 4 and younger get in free.
