View from the Library: Say hi to Bruce
If you are in need of tech help, we have the guy for you. Please join us in welcoming our new Information Technology Librarian, Bruce Fussell to the library. Bruce is taking appointments for one-on-one assistance either through Zoom or in the library. He is ready to answer your questions. Watch for his Tech Newsletter on our website posted the 15th of each month.
The Library is facilitating two 30-minute programs for the “All of Us Research Program” hosted by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The goal of this project is to collect research from across all demographics to learn how to tailor healthcare to the individual rather than the current one-size-fits all model. You will need to pre-register in Zoom for the programs, so please visit our website or call us at the library for details. The first program is at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, and the second is COVID-19 specific at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9. Grab your lunch and listen in on this informative program.
Adopt-a-Book is back again for February’s “I Love to Read” month. For a $15 donation you get to choose from a selection of children’s books and write a personalized note that will be placed on a book plate in the front of the book. Hurry in for the best selection.
Felicia has some great Story Time videos posted to our YouTube channel. Watch for new videos with fun craft ideas each Monday at 10 a.m. We have limited take-and-make kits available to help with craft supplies at the library.
Do you enjoy reading magazines but hate the clutter they cause? We now have two options for reading magazines online. Flipster offers a selection of magazines ranging from crafting to cooking and more. You can download the Flipster app or read right on your computer. You also now have access to 130 magazines through Montana Library2Go. You can read these through the Libby or Overdrive apps or through the website. This addition is sponsored by the Montana State Library through funds received from the CARES Act. These magazines, including back issues, are always available and never clutter up your house. Visit our website at www.northlakecountylibrary.org for links and more information.
