Ronan students qualify for speech and debate nationals
Ronan High School’s speech and debate team had five team members compete in the Montana West National Qualifier Virtual Tournament Feb. 12-13 for a chance to compete at the National Speech and Debate tournament.
Sariel Sandoval, a senior, qualified for nationals in Original Oratory, and Dylan Schock, a sophomore, qualified in Lincoln Douglas Debate (one-on-one).
Jaslyn Frost, also a sophomore, was second alternate for Humorous Interpretation of Literature, and seniors Maggie Wurster and Vicente Ortega qualified to compete at the national tournament in supplemental events.
The NSDA National Tournament will be held virtually June 13-18.
