Girls Basketball Roundup: Lady Bulldogs land in play-in game

The Mission girls (9-8) fell to Florence-Carlton, 48-35 on Tuesday, then pummeled Troy 75-34 at home Friday on Senior Night. They then finished the season with a 66-48 loss at Loyola (15-3) on Saturday.

Kooper Page had 13 points and nine rebounds against Loyola, while Izzy Evans recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Madyson Currie pulled down 12 rebounds to go with seven points.

Sydney Brander scored a team-high 17 points against Troy. Gabbie Smith stepped up with 12 points, and Page had four rebounds to go with seven points.

The Lady Bulldogs were set to play Troy again Tuesday night in a district play-in game.

Page had nine points and nine rebounds in the loss to Florence. Evans added eight points.

Lady Pirates can’t solve Browning

Mossy Kauley and Mckenna Hanson led Polson with seven points each in a 49-29 home loss to Browning. The regular-season finale was a make-up game from earlier in the season.

Megan Rost grabbed nine rebounds in the loss.

Polson (0-15) was scheduled for a play-in game at Browning on Tuesday night.

Scarlets struggle

Arlee (1-12) capped a tough regular season with a 67-12 loss at Anaconda on Thursday. McKirah Fisher led the team with five points. Leiloni Butler had six rebounds and four points for the scarlets, who were set for a district play-in game at Deer Lodge on Tuesday.
