Shriners honor a pair of Bells in Polson
The Shriners took a moment to honor two local public servants during a June 12 celebration in Polson.
The group was in town to celebrate a class of new Shriners. After the event, they had a banquet, during which Lake County Sheriff Don Bell and former Search and Rescue President Jared Bell were given certificates to honor them for their service and contribution to our community.
Sheriff Bell, was thanked for his 29 years of service in public safety.
“Your supreme leadership skills have made a strong and positive impact in this valley. Thank you for being a strong pillar of the foundation in our community.” Shriners Assistant Chief Juan Maso said.
Jared Bell was thanked for his 14 years of service and his six years serving as president of Lake County Search And Rescue.
“Your well grounded management skills, directing and leading this elite group of volunteers resulted in elevating the SAR team to a higher level of success.” Maso said.
The local Salish Shrine Club is part of North America Shriners Hospitals for Children, an international health care system of 22 hospitals dedicated to improving the lives of children by providing specialty pediatric care, innovative research and outstanding teaching programs. Since 1922, Shriners Hospitals for Children have significantly improved the lives of more than 1.5 million children.
