Main Street revamp continues
Workers from the city of Polson and the state continued beautification work along Main Street last week. City staff planted some new maple trees in sidewalk planting areas while a Department of Transportation crew restriped several blocks worth of crosswalks and centerlines.
A production crew that was approved to film scenes in downtown Polson in late July has backed out after settling on a different site. City staff approved the filming along Main Street, and employees and volunteers set about sprucing up the area prior to filming. That work continues despite the film crew’s decision.
The crew sought to film parts of “Mistletoe in Montana” at various sites over about 10 days in late July. The film is a Hallmark production based on the novel of the same name by Pamela M. Kelley. It is part of Kelley’s Montana Sweet Western Contemporary Romance series.
In preparation for the film crew, workers previously cleaned up garbage containers and benches, and flower baskets were hung along Main Street in the spring.
