Live History Days returns to Miracle of America Museum
Travel back in time with a trip to Live History Days this weekend at the Miracle of America Museum in Polson.
The two-day event, held annually for more than 30 years, takes place from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. There will be live music on site throughout the weekend.
Museum founder Gil Mangels said last weekend that the event will take place “rain or shine.” Admission for the special event is the same as other days — $10 for adults and $5 for kids. This weekend the price of admission gets you free rides on the Fly-a-Plane carnival ride and various military vehicles throughout the museum’s 4.5 acres of barns and exhibits. Rides also will be available on two styles of trains.
Live exhibitions will include a working sawmill Saturday, along with a flint mapper, glass blower, barber, leatherworker, wool spinner and various schoolhouse activities.
Concessions also will be available, including chili, ice cream treats and floats.
Mangels said that while the museum will be open from 9 to 5, the best time to see the live exhibits is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
