Montana Historical Society to honor Ninepipes museum founder

Ninepipes Museum of Early Montana and Bud Cheff Jr. received notice from the Montana Historical Society Board of Trustees that Cheff will receive the 2021 Montana Heritage Keepers Award. The award honors those whose efforts have had a significant impact on generating interest in and preserving Montana’s history and heritage.

Cheff was selected for his contributions to the historical community through his work to establish and operate the Ninepipes Museum of Early Montana, which features Montana’s cultural heritage and past.

He will be honored at the 48th annual Montana History Conference to be held in Butte Sept. 23-25.
