Community notes: Tip-a-Cop event to benefit Special Olympics

Members of the Polson Police Department will be serving up dinners from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday June 17 at Pizza Hut in Polson during the annual Tip-A-Cop event to help raise money for Special Olympics Montana. All tips and 10% of all orders will be donated to the Special Olympics Montana. Additionally, the department is raffling off an above-ground swimming pool. Raffle tickets cost $5 or $20 for five tickets at the Polson Police Department on Thursday (June 17), with all proceeds going to Special Olympics Montana.

Free hamburgers at Big Arm fire house

The Polson Rural Fire Department is hosting a hamburger feed from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 26 at the Big Arm fire house. The public is invited to see fire engines up close, meet firefighters and enjoy a free hamburger.

Community yard sale set at Big Arm School

The Big Arm Association will be holding its community yard sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 26 at the historic Big Arm School. Donations are now being accepted during Thursday coffee from 10 a.m. to noon. For other drop off times, call Jeff and Nancy Foster at 406-849-5064. Spaces at the yard sale are available to rent for a $10 donation. Please bring your own table. All proceeds from the sale will be used to maintain the historic Big Arm School.
