Senior Center Calendars

Polson

The Polson Senior Center, 504 Third Ave. East, is open. Although more seniors have had the COVID-19 vaccines, use your best judgment about participating in meals and activities.

Activities

Exercise class: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Bridge: 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Mahjong: 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Pinochle: 12:30 p.m. Thursday.

Bingo: 7 p.m. Fridays.

Pick up a jigsaw puzzle or work it at the Center. We also have a pool table.

Lunch is served in the Center, by take-out or by home delivery from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you are a new client, call the Center for information about payment arrangements. We are always looking for volunteer meal delivery drivers. Get off the couch and think about volunteering.

Meals

Thursday, June 17: Sweet and sour pork, rice, stir fry veggies, orange salad and pineapple cake.

Friday, June 18: Cheeseburger, lettuce, tomato, broccoli, pea salad and peanut butter bars.

Monday, June 21: Split pea soup, bread sticks, creamy fruit salad and fruit bars.

Tuesday, June 22: Soft shell tacos, salsa, sour cream, refried beans, corn salad and rhubarb cake.

Wednesday, June 23: Meatloaf, baked potato, creamed peas, green salad and peanut butter cookie.

Thursday, June 24: Polish dog, onion and relish, mac and cheese, sauerkraut salad and ice cream bar.

Dixon

Dixon Senior Center, 106 Third St., has opened its doors for eating in, while adhering to social distancing precautions. Lunch is served at the center, by take-out or by home delivery, 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you are a new client, call the center to set up payment arrangements or drop by to discuss. The center continues to accept takeout meal requests. Meals will be served at 5:30 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays. They cost $4 per serving and will be delivered to Dixon residents upon request. The center also hosts breakfast the third Saturday of every month from 9 to 11 a.m. Meals cost $4 per serving, and no deliveries are made on Saturdays.

Upcoming meals include breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday; catfish, rice, rolls and dessert on Monday; and chicken enchiladas, rice, beans and dessert on Thursday, June 24.

Activities

Pinochle is on every fourth Monday of the month. The next game is from 7 to 9 p.m. June 28.
