James T. Brown, 84

James T. Brown, age 84, of Polson (formerly of Smithfield, Ky.), passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2021. Son of the late Godfrey and Mary Jane Brown, he retired from the Ford Motor Co. Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville after 30 years of service. He loved traveling on the Amtrak train.

James was preceded in death by his wife, Dottie Brown, and his sons-in-law Pete Peter and Charlie Armstrong. James is survived by daughters Sherry Peter of Simpsonville, Ky., and Tyleen Armstrong of Smithfield; grandchildren Georgann Nichols, Nick Scott, Josh Armstrong and Aaron Armstrong; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, June 21, 2021 at Valley of Rest Cemetery in LaGrange, Ky., officiated by Bro. Mike Frey.
