Resurfacing near Lakeside postponed until September

Officials at the Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) have decided to resurface the Lakeside North and South Project after Labor Day.

MDT initially planned to complete the roadway resurfacing in June. However, weather conditions have not allowed the contractor enough time to complete the work in June. For the work to resume, the contractor will need two to three weeks of consistently warm and dry weather (day and nighttime) so the pavement can properly cure.

MDT has postponed the remaining work until September to allow for better weather conditions and to reduce traffic congestion during construction.
