Summer Reading Program features FWP presentation

The North Lake County Public Library's summer reading program continues this week with a special presentation by Dillon Tabish of Fish Wildlife and Parks starting at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 24 at Sacajawea Park across from the library. If there is bad weather, call the library to register for a spot for the program. The program for Thursday, July 1 will be a boat building day.

Hot dog lunch at Riverside Park

Mission Mountain Enterprises is hosting its annual Community Outreach Day with a hot dog lunch and party from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Riverside Park in Polson. There will be live music, a raffle and other fun. For more information, visit www.mme-mt.org.

Cooksley to address Pachyderms

Aric Cooksley, the CEO of the Flathead Boys and Girls Club, will be guest speaker at the Lake County Pachyderms meeting starting at noon Friday at the Polson Rural Fire Department house at 25b Regatta Road. Cooksley will discuss the positive influence that the club has on our youth and opportunities to get involved and support the Boys and Girls Club.

Pride picnic in Ronan

SAFE Harbor is holding a Pride picnic from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 26 at Ronan City Park. The event is presented as a time to connect, visit and support the concept of “Love Is Love” during Pride Month, which is dedicated to the uplifting of LGBTQ voices, honoring LGBTQ culture and supporting LGBTQ rights. Free hamburgers at Big Arm fire house

The Polson Rural Fire Department is hosting a hamburger feed from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Big Arm fire house. The public is invited to see fire engines up close, meet firefighters and enjoy a free hamburger.
