Senior Center Calendars

Polson

The Polson Senior Center, 504 Third Ave. E., is open. Although more seniors have had the COVID-19 vaccines, use your best judgment about participating in meals and activities.

Activities

Exercise class: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Bridge: 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Mahjong: 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Pinochle: 12:30 p.m. Thursday.

Bingo: 7 p.m. Fridays.

Pick up a jigsaw puzzle or work it at the Center. We also have a pool table.

Lunch is served in the Center, by take-out or by home delivery, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you are a new client, call the Center for information about payment arrangements. We are always looking for volunteer meal delivery drivers. Get off the couch and think about volunteering.

Meals

Thursday, June 24: Polish dog, onion and relish, mac and cheese, sauerkraut salad and ice cream bar.

Friday, June 25: Baked ham, cheesy potatoes, green beans, grape salad, birthday cake.

Monday, June 28: Potato soup, cheesy bread, green salad, cobbler.

Tuesday, June 29: Baked fish, rice pilaf, stir fry veggies, cranberry salad, pumpkin dump cake.

Wednesday, June 30: Chef salad; ham, turkey, egg, cheese roll; crackers, dressings, orange dream cake.

Dixon

Dixon Senior Center, 106 Third St., has opened its doors for eating in, while adhering to social distancing precautions. Lunch is served at the center, by take-out or by home delivery, 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you are a new client, call the center to set up payment arrangements or drop by to discuss. The center continues to accept takeout meal requests. Meals will be served at 5:30 p.m. Mondays and Thursdays. They cost $4 per serving and will be delivered to Dixon residents upon request. The center also hosts breakfast the third Saturday of every month from 9 to 11 a.m. Meals cost $4 per serving, and no deliveries are made on Saturdays.

Upcoming meals include burritos, rice, salad and dessert on Monday; and meatloaf, mashed potatoes and gravy, veggies and fruit, rolls and dessert on Thursday, July 1.

Activities

Pinochle is on every fourth Monday of the month. The next game is from 7 to 9 p.m. June 28.

Ronan

The Mission Valley Senior Center, 528 Main St. SW, Ronan, is running its Senior of the Year program through July. If you know someone who has contributed a lot to the community, submit a recommendation. The nominee does not need to be a member of the Center.

On the last Friday of each month the Center holds a special dress-up day. Friday, June 26 is the birthday dinner and Apron Day to honor our cooks, so wear your favorite apron and come eat with us.

Meals

Friday, June 25: Roast beef, mashed potatoes, salad and dessert.

Monday, June 28: Swedish meatballs, noodles, salad and dessert.

Wednesday, June 30: Fried Chicken and potatoes.
