PHS class of 1980 reunion set
The Polson High School Class of 1980 is celebrating their “40+1 Reunion Extravaganza” July 20-25. In addition to the traditional three-day weekend schedule that includes a Friday “meet and greet,” Saturday banquet and Sunday picnic, classmates attending all six days have the opportunity to experience many other Flathead Valley activities, including; boating, rafting, bowling, skeet shooting, hiking, fishing, karaoke, a scavenger hunt, a sunrise service, movies, plays and day trips to the Bison Range, Big Mountain or Glacier Park. Summer Reading Program features boat building
The North Lake County Public Library's summer reading program continues this week with a boat building event starting at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 1 at Sacajawea Park across from the library. If there is bad weather, call the library to register for a spot for the program. The program for Thursday, July 8 will be a movie day at Showboat Stadium 6. Stop by the library before Monday, July 5 to receive a ticket.
P.E.O luncheon coming to Boettcher Park
The Mission Mountain Reciprocity group of P.E.O. (Philanthropic Education Organization) will be hosting its annual brown bag luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, July 8 at Boettcher Park in Polson. Bring a sack lunch and beverage of your choice and join us for a short presentation about the founders of the organization. Desserts and friendship will be provided.
Animal shelter drive underway
The North Lake County Public Library is conducting a supply drive to support the Mission Valley Animal Shelter. They can use: pet food, dog toys, cat trees, cat toys, swimming pools for dogs and milk replacement for kittens and puppies. Items will be collected through Aug. 5.
MSU alumni gathering in Polson
A Flathead Lake Beach Party for Montana State University Bobcat alums and friends will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 30 at Boettcher park in Polson. The event includes a barbecue dinner, hosted bar and live auction, and is open to all Bobcats, friends and families. New football coach Brent Vigen will be hosting the event.
