Lake County got its rodeo on once again over the weekend as the two-day Mission Mountain Rodeo returned to Les Baldwin Arena at the Polson Fairgrounds.

When the dust settled, a few local names came out on top. Blade Elliot of St. Ignatius won the bareback competition with a score of 73 on Saturday night.

A pair of Arlee cowboys topped the saddle bronc standings. Charles Lytle took first with a 76, while Tyler Friend was second with a 73.

And Charlo’s Abby Knight took the barrel racing title with a time of 17.46 seconds.

The weather was sunny and warm, and the grandstands were full.
