Regular registration for all Lake County school elections to be held Tuesday, May 4 will close at 5 p.m. April 5. Those who fail to register by the regular deadline may still register for the election by showing up at the county election office up to and including on Election Day.

Between noon and the close of business on the day before Election Day, you can complete and submit a voter registration form but will be required to return to the election office on Election Day to receive your ballot.

Voters in Swan Lake (School District #73) who reside in Lake County will need to register at the Lake County Election Office and bring proof of registration to their school clerk to be issued a ballot. Voters in Charlo (School District #7J) or Arlee (School District #8J) who do not reside in Lake County will need to register in Missoula or Sanders counties, accordingly, and appear in person at the Lake County election office on Election Day to be issued a ballot.

Ballots will be automatically mailed to active status electors only. If you are a registered voter and do not receive a ballot, contact the county election office to update your information as necessary and receive a ballot.

Those who wish to register may request a form by mail, by appearing at the county election office located at 106 fourth Ave. E, Rm 121, Polson, MT 59860, or you may print an application from https://sosmt.gov/elections/forms and return it to the election office. If you have moved, please update your registration information by filling out a new voter registration form and submit it to the county election office.
