Mission Valley Christian Academy receives major grant for preschool
Mission Valley Christian Academy, a private school outside Polson, recently received a $300,000 grant from the Gianforte Family Foundation for the addition of a preschool.
Mission Valley Christian Academy is enlarging their current building, adding approximately 3,000 square feet. The addition will contain three classrooms to house both preschool and kindergarten. They plan to offer preschool by the end of 2021, thanks to the recent grant and support from numerous individual donors in the Polson community.
MVCA is working toward expanding campus size and capacity, including ball fields and a gym, with the eventual goal for the gym to be approved as a community emergency shelter.
“While this new funding will allow MVCA to open a preschool sooner than expected, it will not detract from the future community center and high school project still in the planning phase,” said principal Andrew Russell in a press release.
MVCA will hold a fundraiser auction Oct. 2. For more information about MVCA and its building/expansion projects, visit mvcapolson.org.
