Polson man pleads not guilty to possession with intent to distribute
A Polson man accused of possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute made an initial appearance April 20 before a U.S. Magistrate judge in Great Falls.
A grand jury handed down an indictment for Roy Allen Shostak, 28, stating that he “knowingly possessed, with intent to distribute, 50 grams” of methamphetamine last May in Lewis and Clark County. Shostak pleaded not guilty to the felony charge. He faces a mandatory minimum of 10 years to life in prison, a $10,000 fine and at least five years of supervised release, according to court documents.
U.S. Magistrate Judge John T. Johnston set a jury trial for June 22 at Missouri River Federal Courthouse in Great Falls.
