Arlee cleanup event set for May 15
Arlee Community Development Corp. (CDC) is coordinating a community cleanup for Saturday, May 15. Volunteers are asked to meet at Arlee CDC headquarters, the old Hangin’ Art Gallery building, at 10 a.m. to help tackle several “sprucing up” projects.
“We hope to get volunteers out on the paths along the highway and Jocko Road picking up trash,” said the CDC’s Casey Barrows in an email announcement. “Also, several crews are needed to prune the shrubs and trees in town.”
Anyone able to bring their own tools for this work is asked to contact 406-215-5113 to find out what is needed.
“Finally, we would like to get the garden boxes by the Community Center tuned up for planting,” Barrows said. “Donations of seeds or clean, bagged potting mix or compost would be appreciated.”
Coffee and treats will be available. Call 406-215-5113 for more information or to donate to the cause.
