Leslie Caye honored for dedication to children

The Montana Children's Trust Fund recently recognized Leslie Caye of Pablo as one of the recipients of the Service to Children Award for his dedication and commitment to children and their families.

Caye, a member of the Kootenai, Yakima and Nez Perce tribes, has been working for youth since he was 18 working with the National Native American Youth Organization UNITY Inc.

He previously served as Indian education coordinator in the Ronan School District and was a member of the school’s leadership team.

During his time with the Ronan School District, Caye was appointed to the Montana Children’s Trust Fund Board. He served for six and a half years, three of those as chair and two as vice-chair. He continues to serve on the Board of the National Children’s Trust Fund Alliance.
