Mission tennis boys doubles team Lalo Bravo and Kayden Carter wrapped up a stellar season and just missed a state title on Friday in Missoula.

The boys from St. Ignatius cruised to a 6-1, 6-3 win in the quarterfinals Thursday, then knocked off Sam Caras and Joe Kirschenmann of Loyola Sacred Heart 6-4, 6-0 in the semifinals Friday.

Loyola wasn’t done with them, however.

Fellow Loyola duo Finn Richardson and Carter Topp knocked off Bravo/Carter 6-3, 7-6 (5) in the championship match later Friday.

It was Loyola’s year. The Missoula school took both singles titles, both doubles titles and swept the team titles.
