Senior Center Calendars

Polson

The Polson Senior Center, 504 Third Ave. E., is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Center will be closed Nov. 25-26.

Individuals and small organized groups are welcome to use the facility. We have a library nook and puzzle table available in the main hall, and semi-private space available by reservation only. Nonmember use is available. We ask for a voluntary donation of $15 per year for use of the facility on a regular basis.

Activities

  • Monday, Nov. 29: Baily Insurance presentation, 1 to 3 p.m.
  • Exercise class: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
  • Bridge: 12:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday (postponed indefinitely). Get on the call list at the Center if you wish to join.
  • Mahjong: 12:30 p.m. Wednesdays.
  • Pinochle: 12:30 p.m. Thursdays. Walk-ins and new players are always welcome.
  • Bingo: 7 p.m. Fridays.

See’s Famous Old Time Candies Gift Boxes are available again this year. The cost is $23 per box. Three choices are available: peanut brittle, nuts and chews, and assorted chocolates (milk or dark).

Anyone interested in cribbage, gin rummy, canasta, etc. can leave a name and phone number.

Pick up a jigsaw puzzle or work it at the Center. We also have a pool table.

Lunch is served in the Center, by take-out or by home delivery, from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you are a new client, call the Center for information about payment arrangements. Meals cost $5.

Meals

  • Wednesday, Nov. 17: Soft shell tacos, refried beans, corn salad with lime dressing, and fruit crisp.
  • Thursday, Nov. 18: Polish dog, relish and onion, fries, colored pasta salad and pudding.
  • Friday, Nov. 19: Birthday Turkey Dinner, with whipped potatoes, gravy, green beans, roll, Frozen Cranberry Salad, and Happy Birthday Cake
  • Monday, Nov. 22: Turkey noodle soup, roll, pea salad, peach salad.
  • Tuesday, Nov. 23: Sloppy joes, tater tots, corn, veggie salad, bread pudding.
  • Wednesday, Nov.24: Swedish meatballs, whipped potatoes, creamed peas, five-cup salad, gingerbread with lemon sauce.
  • Thursday, Nov. 25: The Center is closed. The Polson Elks will provide free meals to go or delivery on Thanksgiving Day. There will be no indoor seating; only to-go or deliveries. Call 406-471-7076 for a reservation to pick up a meal. Donations are always welcome. Pick-up time is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Calling ahead will help the Elks plan enough meals to cook and how many may be picking up a meal.
  • Friday, Nov. 26: The Center is closed.

Dixon

Dixon Senior Center continues to serve our community and hopes everyone is staying happy and healthy. All are invited to come enjoy dinner, breakfast and/or pinochle. We are also accepting take-out meal requests. Meals will be served at 5 p.m. Monday and Thursday. Meals are $4 per serving and are deliverable to Dixon residents upon request.

Activities

Pinochle is on every fourth Monday of the month. The next game is from 7 to 9 p.m. Nov. 22.

Meals

  • Thursday, Nov. 18: Thanksgiving meal.
  • Monday, Nov. 22: Turkey Soup, salad, rolls and dessert.
  • Thursday, Nov. 25: No meal - Thanksgiving holiday.
