Volleyball Roundup: Lady Pirates topple Cats, Loggers
Polson traveled to Columbia Falls on Sept. 28 and came away with a 25-11, 25-12, 25-16 victory.
Liz Tolley led Polson in assists (9) and digs (16), while Camdyn Burrough notched five aces.
Gracie Simonich and Camilla Foresti each had seven kills for the Lady Pirates.
Back home on Saturday, Polson swept Libby 25-21, 25-20, 25-12.
Mckenna Hanson led the Lady Pirates in assists with 15 and kills with 11 and added 10 digs.
Tolley led the team with 13 digs. Clara Todd had seven kills.

Maidens handle Browning, Libby
Olivia Clairmont notched 12 of the Maidens’ 27 kills as Ronan (7-1) swept Browning 25-8, 25-16, 25-20 Saturday at home.
Margaret Cordova and Leina Ulutoa each had six digs for Ronan, and Ulutoa had 17 of the Maidens’ 25 assists.
Thursday at Libby, Claremont had 12 kills and Ulutoa had 20 assists as the Maidens won in four sets.
Ronan travels to Hamilton on Friday before a rematch with Polson on the road Saturday. The Lady Pirates won in five sets at Ronan on Sept. 16.

Scarlets take tough loss against Deer Lodge
Arlee took a two-set lead against the Lady Wardens on Saturday, but couldn’t seal the win as Deer Lodge earned a 22-25, 23-25, 25-10, 25-18, 15-12 victory.
It was the fifth straight loss for the Scarlets, who opened the season with wins over Mission and Plains.
Earlier in the week, Sept. 28 at Florence, the Scarlets fell 25-15, 25-13, 25-18.
Lady Bulldogs drop two
Mission edged visiting Eureka 26-24 in the first set Monday night, but the Lions bounced back to take the next three sets 25-16, 25-7, 25-12 for the win.
On Tuesday, Mission traveled to Missoula Loyola, where the 6-2 Breakers prevailed 25-7, 25-19, 25-20.
Charlo sweeps St. Regis
The Lady Vikings improved to 4-1 with a 25-14, 28-26, 25-16 victory at home against the Tigers on Thursday before heading to Manhattan Christian on Saturday. Results from that match were not available at press time.
