Polson golfers tops at Frenchtown

Polson golfers swept the team titles at King Ranch in Frenchtown on Sept. 2.

The Pirates edged Whitefish by one stroke, while the Lady Pirates finished 29 strokes ahead of second-place Frenchtown.

Torrin Ellis of Polson (72) took the boys individual title by one stroke over Whitefish’s Marcus Kilman (73). The Pirates Carson Hupka was third with a 74. Ruben Couture shot an 88 to pace the Ronan boys.

Frenchtown’s Katie Lewis shot an 86 to pace the girls field. The Lady Pirates’ Ashley Maki (90) finished second, and teammate Clare Konen (94) tied Kylee Niemeyer of Ronan for third.
