Volleyball Roundup: Maidens strong out of the gate

The Maidens won their first two full matches of the season without dropping a set.

Olivia Clairmont had 14 kills in a sweep of Hamilton at home Saturday. Ronan also swept Corvallis on the same day.

Prior to Saturday's matches, they also won the 13-team Tip-Off Classic the previous week on their home court.

The Maidens were set to host Mission on Tuesday night after the Leader went to press, and they’ll host Polson on Thursday, Sept. 16.

Kason and Kooper Page had six kills each and Gabby Smith led the Bulldogs (1-1) with six aces and 19 digs as Mission swept Plains at home Thursday. Izzy Evans recorded four kills and six digs for the Lady Bulldogs.
