Mary Helen (Phoenix) Doney, 64

Mary Helen (Phoenix) Doney, 64, passed away peacefully at Providence St. Patrick’s Hospital in Missoula on Sept. 9, 2021. Mary was born in Patchogue, N.Y., and moved to Arlee when she was a teenager. She was the fourth of seven children of Donna Jean (Rardon) and Charles Eugene Phoenix and graduated from Arlee High School.

After attending college in Spokane, Mary returned to Arlee, where she met the love of her life, Kerry Lee Doney. They were married in 1977 and they raised three children. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Mary was devoted to the Catholic Church.

Mary was preceded in death by her mother and father, and her daughter, Jessica Alice Scott. Surviving are her husband and two children, Joshua and Kathy Doney, and Lee and Brittney Doney, and son-in-law Jody Scott, along with her grandchildren.
