Junior quarterback tossed four touchdown passes to four different receivers as the Polson Pirates steamrolled a first-year East Helena program en route to a 63-0 home victory.

The Vigilantes (0-2) are led by former Mission head coach and athletic director Tyler Murray, who left St. Ignatius in the offseason for a chance to build a program from the ground up.

Kaden Nelson was good on seven PAT attempts for the Pirates (3-0), while senior receiver Colton Graham threw a scoring pass to Dawson Dumont on a two-point conversion. Graham also caught a 1-yard pass from Wilson for Polson’s first score, and another for a 19-yard TD. Dumont scored a touchdown on a 16-yard fumble return.

Wilson’s other scoring passes went for 27 yards to Robert Perez, 29 to Perez, 38 yards to Alex Muzquiz and 12 yards to Trent Dwelle.

On defense, Polson’s Landon Becker snagged an interception, and the Pirates grabbed three fumble recoveries, one by Trent Wilson that set up the first score and two others by Keyen Nash.

With the win well in hand in the second half, sophomore Brock Henriksen saw action at quarterback for the Pirates.

The latest 406mtsports.com Class A football poll has the Pirates at No. 5 in the state.
