The Polson boys soccer team, still searching for its first win, kept things relatively close at Hamilton on Sept. 4 before losing big at Whitefish on Sept. 7.

Kaden Nelson scored a goal and Jack Colton had a pair a 6-3 loss at Hamilton. Nelson also scored the Pirates’ two lone goals in an 11-2 loss at Whitefish.

Likewise, the Lady Pirates lost a close one, 4-2, at Hamilton, followed by a 9-1 defeat at Whitefish.

Tia Mercer and Sophia Moderie scored against Hamilton after the Broncs opened up a 3-0 lead. Moderie also had a late goal against Whitefish to help the Lady Pirates avoid a shutout.

Polson was scheduled to visit Bigfork on Tuesday after the Leader went to press. Both teams will host matches against Libby on Saturday, with the girls playing at 10 a.m. and the boys playing at noon.
