Tracy Olsen and Jodie L. Johnson Buxbaum received the most votes in a special election for the Charlo School District No. 7-J held Sept. 14. They will be sworn in during a special meeting of the Board of Trustees at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28 at the high school gymnasium.

The election saw 324 votes cast among 798 active registered voters for a turnout of 40.6%, according to the Lake County Election Office.

Olsen received 155 votes, and Buxbaum received 127.

Terrance R. Rosenbaum was third at 120 votes, followed by Dion Carey (118) and Shelley Cordis Frame (58).

In May trustees approved a new election due to a discrepancy between an earlier election resolution and trustee advertisement. The original election set for May was cancelled after consultation with the Office of Public Instruction, the Montana School Boards Association, the Lake County Elections Office and the Lake County Attorney.
