Harvest Dinner set for Oct. 26

The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church will hold its 51st annual Harvest Dinner on a new day of the week, Tuesday, Oct. 26 for takeout only. The meal consists of Swedish meatballs, potatoes/gravy, green beans, coleslaw, a roll and pumpkin pie. Orders may be called in ahead at 406-883-5864 and picked up from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 26..

Dinners cost $10 each. Homemade Lefse will be available for sale as well. It is the desire of Good Shepherd to keep prices reasonable because this dinner is a mission/outreach of our community and donations are always welcome. Dinner proceeds will benefit Polson City and Rural Fire Departments.

Tribal Health flu shots at SKC

The Tribal Health Department of the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes will hold a flu shot drive-in clinic from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6 at the main parking lot of Salish Kootenai College in Pablo. Influenza shots will be available for those eligible for Tribal Health, those living in the same household as a Tribal Health eligible recipient, and CSKT employees. The first 500 Tribal Health eligible recipients will receive a $15 gas card. Appointments may be made at www.MTreadyclinic.org.

Ladies Night Out

Polson Business Community is offering a Ladies Night Out shopping event from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1. Participation downtown Polson businesses will distribute $5 savings passed good for the two-hour event. There is a limited supply of the free passes, which are good for $5 off a purchase of $25 or more.

Participating businesses will have an event poster displayed.

Free pollinator seeds, workshop

Lake County Conservation District will distribute free pollinator seed from 4 to 7 p.m. Oct. 7 and 14 at the Ronan Farmers’ Market, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 8 at the Polson Farmers’ Market.

The district also will host an online workshop all about pollinator plot site preparation and its new Urban Pollinator Initiative from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 18.
