Mariners blast Belgrade, fall to bucs

FLORENCE — Alex Muzquiz had seven hits on the day to help the Mission Valley Mariners to a Sunday split of American Legion baseball games.

Mission Valley rolled past the Belgrade Bandits, 15-3 on Sunday morning, but fell 6-5 to the host Bitterroot Bucs later in the day.

Muzquiz batted 3-4 with two triples and four RBI in the morning contest, then was 3-for-4 with two triples and two RBI against Bitterroot.

Dylan DuMont and Wyatt Wadsworth each contributed two doubles.

On Saturday, the Mariners split a twin bill with the Missoula Mavs A squad , winning 10-0 and falling 15-11.
