Track and Field Roundup: Lady Pirates dominate 800 at Iceberg
Polson’s Drifter Skillicorn placed fifth in the boys long jump with a mark of 20 feet, 2 inches Saturday at the appropriately named Iceberg Invitational on Saturday. He was the top local boys finisher at the event. Fellow Pirate Ethan McCauley was eighth in the discus.
The Polson girls swept the top three spots in the 800 with Ashtyn Wagner finishing first, Adison Carlson second and Halle Heninger third. Polson’s Isabel Seeley was seventh in the event.

Pirates, Vikings compete at Corvallis
Polson and Charlo teams were at the bottom of the team standings at the Sapphire Twilight Meet on April 21 at Corvallis, but several local athletes had strong showings in individual events.
The Vikings’ Hayden Hollow finished fourth in the 800, while teammate Hayden Smith was sixth in the 1,600. Charlo’s Tucker Love set a personal-best mark of 145 feet, 8 inches to finish fifth in the javelin.
Polson’s Drifter Skillicorn was fourth in the long jump.
Ashtyn Wagner of Polson was second in the 800 and fourth in the 1,600. Teammate Adison Carlson finished fifth in the 3,200.
Charlo’s Kyla Tomlin finished sixth in the javelin with a mark of 93 feet, 1 inch.

Bulldogs fare well at Seeley
Mission’s Andrew Rush finished first in the boys 800 and was third in the 1,600 meters at the Seeley Invite Saturday at Missoula. Teams from Mission, Arlee, Charlo and Two Eagle River competed at the event that featured 26 schools.
Mission’s Kellen McClure set a personal record to win the javelin.
The Mission boys finished sixth in the team standings with 29 points.
