Polson Seniors: 180 Thanksgiving meals served

The Polson Senior Center served or delivered 120 Thanksgiving meals on Friday Nov. 18.

Activities coming up at the center include: bowling for fun, 1 p.m. Tuesdays; bridge, 12:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays (beginners welcome); pinochle, 12:30-3 p.m. Thursdays; and bingo, 7 p.m. Fridays. The pool table is open 8 a.m.-3 p.m. weekdays.

Seniors have an opportunity to Exercise for Mobility, 10:30 a.m.-11:30 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

A veteran’s representative will visit the center from 10 a.m.-noon Friday, Dec. 2, and Tuesday, Dec. 20.

Meals are available for sit-down, take-out or delivery from 11:45 a.m.-12:30 p.m. weekdays and cost $5. The menu is posted each week at the center.

Main dishes include: pork chops, Dec. 1; fish with mac and cheese, Dec. 2; split pea soup, Dec. 5; goulash, Dec. 6; baked chicken and white bean chili, Dec. 7 (remember Pearl Harbor!); and pulled-pork sandwich, Dec. 8.

See’s Candy has arrived and supplies are limited. Open the box early, take a few out for yourself, then reseal the box and give it as a gift. No one needs to know.
