Five Ronan High students and six Polson High students were selected for the prestigious All-Northwest bands, orchestras and choirs, which assemble in Bellevue, Wash., Feb. 17-18 to rehearse and perform under the direction of world-renowned conductors.

The All-Northwest musicians were among 3,000 students who auditioned to participate. Only 1,000 are selected for the annual event, which is credited with helping launch some well-known professional musicians, including Montana jazz trumpeter Allen Vizzutti, on their career paths.

Ronan High participants are: Heidi Webster, string bass, band; and choir members Zander Becker, bass 1, Gordon Stewart, tenor 1, and Grace Heiner and Mollie Sydnor, soprano 2.

Polson participants are: Aspen McKee, alto saxophone, band; and choir members Adison Carlson and Faith Combs, soprano 1; Piper Hoxie and Alexandra Haynes, soprano 2; and Peyton Devlin, bass 1.
