Lady Pirates top Corvallis, finish 1-1 at tip-off

The Lady Pirates toppled Corvallis 46-34 on Saturday to secure a victory at the Frenchtown Tip-Off Tournament.

Grace Simonich and Mila Hawk scored 12 points each for the Lady Pirates, and Addyson Gallatin chipped in with 10.

Polson opened the tourney Friday with a 43-17 loss to Dillon.

Simonich led the way with 8 points.

Ronan took a loss Friday, falling 72-45 to Hamilton.

No stats were available for Ronan’s game Saturday against East Helena.

Hamilton’s 1-2 punch of Layna Kearns and Taryn Searle combined for 41 points,and the powerful Broncs outscored the Maidens 37-15 after halftime.

Olivia Heiner scored 12 points to lead Ronan. Leina Ulutoa and Margaret Cordova added 11 each.
