Mission Valley Elks host Hoop Shoot

The Mission Valley Elks Hoop Shoot, a free-throw contest for boys and girls ages 8-13, begins at 2 p.m. Dec. 17 at the Linderman Gym in Polson.

All area athletes are welcome to compete in the following age groups: 8 to 9-year-old boys; 8 to 9-year-old girls; 10 to 11-year-old boys; 10 to 11-year-old girls; 12 to 13-year-old boys; 12 to 13-year-old girls (ages as of April 1, 2023).

Registration and warmup begin at 1:30 p.m. and the contest starts at 2 p.m. Winners of each age group advance to the District Contest on Jan. 14, also in Polson.

There is no cost to participate and no admission will be charged. Free chili and hotdogs will be served to each contestant and their families during the shoot.
