Elks Hoop Shoot lists winners

With a lot of concentration and often remarkable aim, kids ages 8-13 shot for the net at Linderman Gym in Polson Saturday during the Mission Valley Elks Hoop Shoot. Each participant had 10 chances to make free throws, with judges keeping count and offering encouragement.
Winners in the free-throw contest were:
Ages 8-9: Boys – Asher Caye; Girls – Ava Condon
Ages 10-11: Boys – Karson Glinsman; Girls – Emily Simonich
Ages 12-13: Boys – Charles Hogenson (no girls competed)
Top scorers received medals and contestants and their families were treated to free chili and hotdogs. Winners of each age group advance to the District Contest on Jan. 14, also in Polson.
