Polson Senior Center hosts New Year’s Eve party
Looking for a New Year’s Eve activity? The center is hosting a New Year’s Eve Card and Bingo Party from 8 p.m.-midnight, Dec. 31 with potluck snacks. Ring in the New Year with your friends at the center. All are welcome.
The center is closed Monday, Jan. 2.
The Polson Senior Center continues to develop a Facebook page and an active email list for our members and the community at large. Sign up, including Facebook name and/or email address, is entirely voluntary, and can be removed upon request. Sign up at the center or email info to polsonseniorcenter@gmail.com. Guest wi-fi will be available soon.
Activities coming up at the center are open to all, and include: bowling for fun, 1 p.m. Tuesdays; bridge, 12:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Fridays (beginners welcome); pinochle, 12:30-3 p.m. Thursdays; and bingo, 7 p.m. Fridays. The pool table is open 8 a.m.-3 p.m. weekdays.
A low-impact exercise class is available 10:30-11:30 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
A veteran’s representative will visit the center from 10 a.m.-noon Friday, Jan. 6.
Meals are available for sit-down, take-out or delivery from 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. weekdays and cost $5. The menu is posted each week at the center.
Main dishes include: ham/potato bake, Dec. 29; beef stir fry, egg rolls and root-beer cake, Dec. 30; lasagna, Jan. 3; oven-fried chicken, Jan. 4; cheeseburger deluxe, Jan. 5; and pork loin, Jan. 6.
