Last year both Charlo and Hot Springs played two close matchups, with the Vikings winning the first matchup 58-57, and the Savage Heat taking the second game 72-63.

"There are always kinks to work out in the beginning of a season and we definitely have things we want to work on and get better at, but we're overall pretty happy with where we're at right now and hope to keep improving as the season progresses."

The first quarter was a defensive slog, with both teams tied 6-6. Polson was able to snag a 19-12 lead at halftime. Both offenses picked up in the second half, but the Lady Pirates were able to maintain their advantage.
