Bulldogs' Sargent claims fifth place at B/C state
Mission-Charlo’s Canyon Sargent pinned Manhattan’s Cyrus Richardson in his final match of the season to secure fifth place at 170 pounds in the class B/C state wrestling tournament at Billings last weekend. Sargent finished the season with a 36-10 record.
Along with Sargent, the Bulldogs sent Kody Dillard (103), Charley Adams (152) and Deago Hostetler (182) to the tournament. Sargent was the lone Mission-Charlo wrestler to reach the podium.
Meanwhile, Arlee was represented by Brodie Smith (113) and RJ Knoll (160). Knoll earned a 9-5 decision over Colby Crowell of Cascade in a consolation match before being ousted by Shane Reishus of Thompson Falls.
