Zoran LaFrombois hit five 3-pointers during a second-quarter blitz that put the Bulldogs (17-3) up 50-16 in a 79-41 win over Thompson Falls on Saturday in the third-place game of the 7B District tournament in Bigfork.

LaFrombois had 29 of those points himself, and added three more threes in the second half. He finished with a school-record 44 points, surpassing a mark set by JR Camel in the 1990s.

Cederick McDonald hit another pair of 3-pointers and added 13 points for Mission.

Nathan Schraeder led the Bluehawks (12-10) with 12 points, including two 3-pointers.

The Bulldogs were the No. 2 seed going into the tournament, but a 65-53 loss to Eureka in the semifinals sent them to consolation play.

Bigfork seized the district title with a 55-38 win over Eureka on Saturday.

The Bulldogs take on Missoula Loyola at 9:45 a.m. Thursday in the opening round of the Western B divisional tournament at Ronan.
